We're Alright

Top: thrifted / Shorts: Romwe / Shoes: Zara / Bag: Alexander Wang / Earrings: SM Accessories / Lips: MAC Rebel

If you attended the Bloggers United Bazaar Part 5 last Saturday and have been religiously following my Instagram posts (lol), then you've definitely seen me trotting around in this almost all-black ensemble. This look was a product of a semi-functioning brain (due to lack of sleep) and was a last minute decision. I was too engrossed with my preparations for the bazaar that I've completely abandoned coming up with a decent outfit for the event. So yes, I had to resort to my default black attire (which I actually sorely missed sporting). All of the pieces in this look have been recycled. I've already worn the mesh top (similar HERE) with my favorite origami skort and have paired my Balenciaga-ish diaper shorts with an improvised bandeau and a sheer floral top

On a similar note, BU5 was defnitely a huge success and this would not have been possible if not for the amazing supporters of our respective blogs and the hardworking team behind the event (Pax, Ana and the rest of the gang). To everyone who dropped by our booth to shop, say 'hello' and have their photos taken with us...thank you so so so much! Your excited smiles and energy were enough to assuage the stress and exhaustion I've been experiencing for days. Thank you as well for the kind words posted on Twitter and Instagram. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you again in the next BUB!

Who Gives A Fu*k?

Top: Sheinside / Leather Shorts: The Ramp / Heels: Zara / Bag: Alexander Wang / Earrings: ASOS

Call me crazy but not even heatstroke nor copious amounts of sweat will stop me from wearing my beloved jumpers. Okay...maybe if I do experience fainting from a heatstroke, I might just change my mind. Haha. But in my defense, I was able to brave the heat and wear this cheeky statement sweater from Sheinside because strolling under the snarling sun wasn't part of the itinerary that day. Thank God. I actually wore this on a girlfriend's day-out with my good friend, Honey, and her sister, Shine. We spent half the day munching on fat-inducing treats (hello street food and steak!), shopping around for nifty gadget accessories and laughing our arses off over great, funny conversations. That was a fun day.

Now, I shall end the post with this:

  "What the fuck???" Hahaha!

Jacket: Wrangler / Shirt, Jeans & Heels: Zara

Badass. That's what this jean jacket from Wrangler is all about. And badass is what I wanted to project with this denim-on-denim look. I've mentioned in a couple of previous posts that when it comes to jackets, I like them big and loose. And where can you usually find bigger-sized jackets? The men's section...which is one of my not-so-secret treasure trove of great clothing finds. So yes, you deduced it right -- I got this jacket from the men's section of Wrangler. Cool beans!

Denim Shirt: Wrangler / Skort & Shoes: Zara / Bag: Alexander Wang / Necklace: Romwe / Eyewear: SM Accessories

My favorite denim shirt makes another appearance. My sole excuse for incessantly reusing this shirt? It just goes with everything (see how I wore it HERE, HERE and HERE). And its lightweight fabric makes it manageable to wear even during the driest of dry days. Wore this ensemble to the launch of Wrangler's Denim Spa jeans -- jeans that can moisturize and smoothen your legs. Amazing, right? I'm definitely getting a pair and I suggest you get a pair (or two) too because the stocks for these Denim Spa jeans are limited!

P.S. How gorgeous is the wall art behind me? I spotted this while inside a cab, on the way back to our office. I'm such a sucker for female-themed artworks and this colorful graffiti served as a nice backdrop for my simple outfit. Kudos to the artist who created this obra.

Top, Pants, Heels: Zara / Eyewear: Karen Walker / I.D. Necklace: PlusMinusTimesDivide / Clutch: Neon Island

Sharks are one of the fiercest creatures that I fear the most. Blame it on "Jaws" and all of the other films featuring sharks as nasty flesh-tearing beasts. But I have to hand it to Givenchy for opening my eyes to a whole new world of shark-appreciation. While I still won't dare thread on shark-infested water, at least I get to marvel at the sight of a shark's jaws on print...and on clothes. This is not the time first I'm wearing a shark-printed piece though. Already wore a long sleeved one HERE. Again, muscle tees are a personal must-have this summer so spotting this Givenchy-inspired top in Zara and purchasing it in a heartbeat became almost instinctual. For this summer look, I opted for camo pants, added another animal in the mix with my leopard-print lace up sandals (current fave heels) and threw in a sunset print clutch (side note: I've been searching all over for a clutch like this and I'm so stoked that I stumbled upon one from Neon Island. There are other summer-perfect pieces such as tank tops and shirts from this brand so you better check them out!).

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Leopard print lace up sandals from Zara

Ah. You were quite the elusive pair. I've almost given up on you but when you decided to pop up at the last minute and in my size,
I knew we were meant to be.
