Here's my take on the print-on-print trend. My mother actually found this look quite tacky and was shocked at my color combination choice (I had to bolt out of the door as quickly as I could to evade further mockery from her. Hahaha!). I couldn't blame her though. Not everyone will appreciate this kind of color and print pairing but I do stand by with my outfit choice to go all ocean and fire with colors. In my defense, at least the prints are similar (both are leaves). Haha!

Juxtaposing feminine floral trousers with a masculine vest. I've mentioned in some post ago that every woman should have a pair of black pumps in their shoe closet. Pointed, round-toe, peep-toe, velvet, leather...whatever type of black pumps they are, you can never go wrong with them. Pumps work well with dresses, slim trousers, jeans, minis and shorts. My black velvet pumps are a recent find from So! F.A.B. and these are also available in red, in case you want to add a surge of vampy color to your look.

In Mint Condition

Obviously, I was all for 'lazy dressing' when I came up with this look. Fancy footwear and a great-looking purse always save the day when one's stuck in a rut. My savior is in the form of a pair of mustard suede platforms from So F.A.B. and a cute box bag a la Celine from SM Accessories. You can find more of these classy purses from SM Department store for less than a thousand pesos! Now that's what I call a good find.

Tropicana

Aside from donning bright hues, summer is also the perfect season to play around with prints. I'm currently obsessed with these cropped printed trousers from Zara. Its colors and foliage remind me of warm white sand, cool breeze and gentle beach waves. For an easy, streestyle "model off-duty" look, I chose a simple black leather jacket and a pair of basic pumps to go with my lush tropical trousers. You can never go wrong with black pumps. It's one of the few basic items that should be in every woman's closet. For basic pumps, try exploring So! F.A.B.

Summer of Love

I'm actually wearing a deep tangerine blazer here but the color came out a little bit on the crimson side in the photos. I used to despise the orange hue on any article of clothing before as I found it too loud and quite tacky. But recently, I've come to embrace it. It truly is a fun, summery color. Speaking of summer, how cute are these blue pumps for So! F.A.B.? I'm not usually attracted to pumps as pretty as these but the chunky towering heels got me. And with the addition of a rope material near the sole, these could very well be the perfect pair of pumps for summer. However, if you like some summer wedges or flats instead, So! F.A.B. has a lot of choices out in stores.

Whiskey and Wine

"Whiskey & Wine" is one of my favorite songs from the band, 311, but I'm borrowing the title of the song in reference to...no, not an alcoholic drink, but to my new wine suede boots from So Fab. The heel height on these boots are a big departure from my 5 incher shoes, making them really comfortable to wear and walk in. Speaking of So Fab, the brand has a lot of exciting things in store for you guys this year! Can't wait! On a different note, I had a shoot yesterday with Edric Chen. He has shot portraits of quite a handful of Filipino fashion bloggers and I'm honored to be included in his growing list. I'll share the products of our shoot soon.

Burgundy

NOTE: This is a backlog post from when I still had darker hair.

A bit obsessed with these waxed burgundy jeans. Been wearing them quite a lot, especially on off days. I want another pair of burgundy jeans that has a bit more plum hue to it. Anyway, wore this outfit to a casual meeting with the folks from So Fab last December 11 (a lagged post, I know). So Fab, a local shoe brand, is collaborating with fashion bloggers for a very, very special project and I'm so excited to be part of this! Definitely a great way to kick off 2012! Will reveal further details about this project in weeks to come.

P.S. Damn. These photos are making me miss my dark locks. Oh well... :(
