Is It Summer Yet?
Monday, October 28, 2013
Top: ASOS / Shorts: on sale HERE / Bag: Alexander Wang (black version HERE) / Boots: Zara / 'Kookie' Necklace: oNecklace
Seeing photos from Soul Surf 2013 on my Instagram feed makes my heart pine for summer and for some vitamin sea. While I am loving the colder weather at this time of the year (which means Christmas is just around the corner), I can't help but daydream about the beach and the saltwater brushing against my feet. But just about a month ago, I did get the opportunity to have a short summer retreat by the beach (at Kamana Sanctuary in Subic Bay), albeit for work. En route to Subic, I knew we will be greeted by the scorching sun so I smartly packed this super lightweight chiffon top with me. I've been squirreling a lot of thin-strapped tops like this as of late. I realized how invaluable they will be come summer and how they could also serve as the perfect inner tops for layering under blazers or jackets on colder months.
P.S. I've been experiencing some editing issues with my photo editor lately. Close up shots of my skin always turn out speckled with unidentified marks or spots (see shoe shot above). It looks as if I have a skin disease! Ugh!

It's the return of the comeback! Hahaha! Hello, abstract print top! I obviously love this top so much for it to merit an immediate second appearance on this blog (wore it for the first time HERE). This time though, I opted to pair it with shorts since summer's already here and it's just too hot to wear long sleeves with pants! Ugh. I want to direct your attention though to the mirrored sunglasses. Isn't it the coolest thang? Haha! The blue polarized lenses remind me of all things summer - beach, waves, sand and fun! Sigh. Can't wait to go back to the beach!
P.S. My face looks so white in these photos! Hahaha!

Leather Sleeves

Top: Ukayista / Shorts: WAGW / Boots: Soule Phenomenon / Necklace: SM Accessories / Gold Rose Bracelets: H&M / Eye Bracelet: ASOS
Fashion friends who know me well know for a fact that I've got a special place for Alexander Wang inside my heart (and in my closet). When I spotted this sweater from an online thrift shop, my heart did somersaults and I was grinning from ear to ear. The sweater reminded me so much of A. Wang's SS2010 grey dress (with brown leather sleeves) that passing up on it would be just plain stupid. My shopping predator instincts kicked in automatically and I hastily declared the sweater "MINE" before anyone else did. I was beyond stoked that this sweater went home to my loving arms. Thank you, Ukayista, for unearthing this amazing find!

Top: Levi's / Jacket: thrifted / Shorts: WAGW / Boots: Topshop / Bag: Alexander Wang
About a week ago, I had a TVC shoot (for work) and within the vicinity of s said hoot was this abandoned and dilapidated building that had so much character, I just knew that I had to have my outfit shots taken within its rugged walls. On-location shoots call for comfortable outfits (so that you can easily move around) so I had to resort to shorts, my beloved and over-used boots and a jacket in case it get's chilly inside the viewing tent.
P.S. Please pardon my annoyed-looking face. This was my attempt to give a nonchalant but fierce look, if you know what I mean. Totally failed. Haha!

Lazy Sunday
Tuesday, January 17, 2012
(Top & Shorts: F21 // Boots: Topshop // Bag: SM Accessories // Bone Necklace: OS)
A lazy outfit worn on a lazy Sunday. Knit jumpers are now a staple in my closet. I have them in an array of shades and lengths and different levels of fuzziness (haha!). I'm just taking advantage of the sweater weather and I really couldn't keep myself from wearing these comfy, love-to-snug pieces. Sweaters would be the perfect comfy pieces to wear while studying for online classes.
Expect another round of these sweater outfit posts. And if ever y'all are getting tired of these mundane sweater looks...remember, you have been forewarned. Haha.

P.S. Check out the collarbone necklace adorning my neck. Ain't it rad? Just the perfect accessory to add a bit of zing to a ho-hum look.

(Shirt: Crow // Shorts: WAGW // Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell "Busted" // Eyewear: H&M)
Grunge...this is the look I'm most comfortable with. I'm particularly loving this wolf-print shirt. There's something so Christopher Kane/Givenchy about it. For a no-fuss, 5-minutes-to-style grunge look, just go with a cropped tee or an over-sized shirt, some platform boots, leather or denim shorts and a ratty hat worn with dry, messy hair. Haha!
P.S. I still have a few backlog outfit posts from when my hair was still darker so I apologize if you're somewhat getting confused as to what my hair color really is. :?

(Chiffon Top: Summersault // Shorts: Topshop // Wedges: DAS // Necklace: +Ruckus)
Wore this casual outfit to a "Styled By" shoot for Mango Philippines. I swear by the formula of "lightweight top + leather shorts + character shoes" to get me through those lazy I-don't-know-what-to-wear days. And when I say "lightweight", I prefer those sheer chiffon tops which are very easy to wear. Wanted to get this chiffon polo in a royal blue color too. Too bad that color is already sold out. Will post my Mango look once the photo is up on Facebook. Check out the other looks created by Filipino fashion bloggers and stylists HERE.
