Military Prepster

Jacket: Pinkaholic / Skirt: Clothes For The Goddess / Bag: Phillip Lim / Boots: Jeffrey Campbell

Hello. My name is Kookie and I'm a 12th Grader, taking up Military Science.

What the h*ll did I just say??? Please don't mind the gibberish text above. It's a foolish attempt to 'sound' witty. Obviously, I failed. Haha. I just think that my button down shirt + circle skirt pairing makes me look like a student...a preppy rebel student that is. How was your weekend so far, loves? Mine's great. I saw the movie, Upside Down, yesterday and I think I might be suffering from Post Upside Down Syndrome -- my neck feels strained from looking up and from imagining the possibility that things, people and a whole different world can exist above us. Hmmm...

Candy Pink Stripes

Jeans: Motel Rocks// Top: Crow// Boots: Jeffrey Campbell// Bag: Alexander Wang// Earrings: Gwaan Wicked// Cuff: Ruckus

Remember my pineapple print jeans HERE? Well, this pair of candy pink stripes jeans is from the same brand -- Motel Rocks. I initially wanted to get the black & white version of these jeans but I was feeling a bit adventurous and kooky when I was going thru the jeans selection and I ended up going with this happy pink pair instead. I got to hand it to Motel Rocks -- they have the comfiest jeans, hands down. I seriously want to get more of these pants, in different hues and prints!

Load Up On Guns, Bring Your Friends

(Denim Jacket: Bim Bim Haus// Skirt: Pinkaholic Fashion Shoppe// Shirt: The Afterglow// Creeper Boots: Jeffrey Campbell// Body Harness: Superfluously// Silver Cuff: Ruckus)

I borrowed the title of this post from the opening line of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit", which could very well be the grunge anthem of the 90s. This photo set is a continuation of the grunge series that Edric and I collaborated on and my outfit here is probably my favorite out of the three sets I prepared...partly due to the fact that I took the risk and wore this asymmetrical skirt sideways (see proper way of wearing this skirt here). Topped with a bleached denim jacket and platform creepers, I'm ready to slash it out in a music festival and run the streets with reckless abandon.

Edric, thank you for capturing the vulnerable side of me through these photos.

P.S. I'm currently in Davao for Araw ng Dabaw and will be in Barangay SIR Covered Court tomorrow for the Joy Kaon Ta, Davao event. If you guys are near the area, hope you can drop by! :)

Black Moto

(Jacket: Zara // Top: Peek-A-Boo // Shorts: Bim Bim Haus // Clutch: Dorothy Perkins // Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell)

Nothing spells "sexy" more than a black sheer top. Case in point, this sleeveless shirt from Peek-A-Boo spiced up with faux leather details. I've been fiddling with this top a bit and have been incorporating it in various outfits. It's quite a fun piece to play with! For a toughened up Harley-rider look, I threw on a motorcyle jacket and my trusty ombre shorts (which I just can't get enough of). Speaking of motorcyle jackets, I'm so glad that I finally found a black one that fits most of my specifications. I wouldn't say that it's the perfect black moto jacket, but it would have to do for now.

Neon Punch

(Sweater: F21 // Skirt: Street Beat Boutique // Boots: Jeffrey Campbell "Busted" via Feet For A Queen // Necklace: H&M // Gold Cuffs: The Ramp // Clutch: Dorothy Perkins)

This is what I wore to the recently concluded Blogger's United Bazaar 2. I was inspired once again by one of Alexander Wang's runway looks (the skirt is definitely A Wang-inspired). I was originally planning to wear a hot pink knit jumper with the skirt but I opted to go with the fluoro yellow sweater for a real jolt of color. Got to wear my new Jeffrey Campbell wedge boots which look very mammoth-looking and bad ass, I reckon. It was a good thing that I wore my hair up in a bun because it was a bit humid inside the bazaar.

I shall be posting photos from the event really soon. Thank you so much to the readers and shoppers who dropped by our booth (Do share your photos with me at deathbyplatforms01@gmail.com!). My friends and I sold a lot of items! Woohoo! A big, big, BIG THANK YOU also to the sponsors and most especially, to the organizers: Melai/Ana/Pax! You guys rock my socks!

Hope everyone's doing fine! 'Till the next post! ;)
