Beautiful Monsters

Jacket & Top: Forever 21 / Shoes: Gold Dot / Mirrored Sunglasses: ASOS / Necklace & Bracelet: SM Accessories

These towering Honey platforms from Gold Dot are my newest pair of beautiful monsters. They have this funky neon green acrylic surprise and the perfect beige-black upper color combination which I love. There's some bit of an S&M action going on too with the ankle chain. Sick!

You can get these from Gold Dot, Karmaloop and Solestruck.

Wedges: Gold Dot / Jacket, Pants & Top: Zara / Bag: Alexander Wang

Lately, most of my sartorial choices have taken a slightly deep turn into something that is more polished, feminine (ack!) and "grown up". While I still do have a soft, lust-filled spot for anything that looks edgy, urban and grunge, I have to accept the fact that I am getting older and older by the day and I reckon I would not be able to pull off a Coachella-inspired look, even if I want to, when I hit the age of 40. So here I am, stretching out my arms to slowly welcome a few style adjustments here and there, starting off with a predilection towards anything gleamingly white. I've always loved the "color" white -- it looks so clean, urbane and refreshing on the eyes. But I've also been hesistant in covering myself with garments in this pristine hue because the upkeep is quite tricky (white = dirt magnet). One of these days though, I will finally rock that all-white outfit I've been churning in my head.

Shirt: Romwe / Jacket, Skirt, Earrings: F21 / Wedges: Finsk / Clutch: Tonic / Bracelets: Mauve / Cube Ring: Gold Dot

Went for a clean and minimalist look for Day 2 of Bloggers United 4. I initially wanted to go white all the way (white shoes, white accessories) but for fear of looking too "clinical", I decided to add some brown accents via my Finsk wedges and a leopard print clutch. The Romwe shirt I'm wearing here is quite interesting as it has a long U-shaped hem -- it will definitely work well as an undershirt when paired with logo tees and sweaters.

Lately, I've been addicted to large and chunky statement crystal earrings. For me, they are the perfect accessories to liven up a mundane outfit. How about you, what's your favorite accessory?

P.S. To all of the readers/guests who dropped by our booth during BU4 and took photos with me, do email me a hi-res copy of our photos. I would love to post them here in my blog.
