I completely forgot to post this set of photos from my Goth Nomad shoot with Anton 5 months ago (my hair was still long and basting in ombre dye). These are actually my favorites from the bunch. And this is how I would style the Paradigm Shift 'Ornithopter' dress to make it more wearable during the day -- I'll just slap on a mean leather jacket and wear a pair of moto boots. Damn. Looking at these photos makes me miss my all-black-ensemble days circa 2008-2009. I think it's time to bring back the edgy again.

Goth Nomad

As promised, here are the photos from the collabo shoot I had with Anton. Anton currently dabbles in street photography, taking photos of friends and of random breathing souls. I'm not sure if this shoot was his first themed one, but I sure did enjoy doing it with him. It's nice to break away from "outfit" posts once in a while. It's also great to be in the company of people who share the same interests and vision as I do, moreso if they all reside in the same area as where I live (cheers to the South, baby!). When Anton and I were discussing the theme for this shoot, I knew in my head that I wanted to wear this Ornithopter dress from Paradigm Shift. It's such a simple piece but has a tough and sultry whimsy to it. It sure hell looks good with the Drei wedges from Gold Dot too. Now, if this look doesn't project a "Don't you dare mess with me!" 'tude, I don't know what else will.

Vertebrae

This amazing top from Ellemel is a product of the bright minds of three UP Clothing Technology students: Sam, Erica & Aien. While it employs a mullet design (which we usually see in other chiffon tops and skirt), the design on the front part is quite unconventional. It buttons on the side, resembling somewhat a chef's white jacket. I've had this top for quite a while and I haven't had the chance to wear it out because I was waiting for the perfect shoes to go with it (a shallow reason, I know). But...I did find the perfect shoes! Say hello to my Vertebrae boots! This pair is a collaboration between Soule Phenomenon and OS Accessories. The heel is an amazing work of art. OS Vol. 1: Deserted Felines

Accessories du jour, OS, just released a short video for their first collection. The scoring is fantastic and I love the dark nature of the film. Kudos to Charles Buenconsejo and the OS team (Paul Jatayna, AJ Omandac & Kat Medina).

More about the film:

The film of OS is inspired with the wild stray cats wandering off the streets. These deserted felines become agitated beasts, always scavenging for food and shelter as they wander off for survival in the jungle known to man-the city. This video exhibits the spirit of both the raw and the primitive yet contemporary which is similar to the aesthetic of OS's first collection.

And mmmmm...I'm lusting over this OS body harness. I believe it will be part of the 2nd Collection. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Ribcage

Excited about this Ribcage bone necklace purchase from OS. It's extremely lightweight and is such a conversation piece. If you wish to own one, drop by the Coachella Bazaar tomorrow at Rockwell. The bazaar is open until 12MN. Catch other brands such as Paradigm Shift, Soule Phenomenon and Miadore in the same stall as OS. They're just beside the door!

Behind The Scenes: OS Lookbook

My friends, Paul Jatayna and AJ Omandac, just shot the lookbook of their first collection for OS. OS is a line of bone accessories which fuses pre-historic and industrial elements for a look that's edgy but still wearable.

Collaborating with only the best people in the industry, OS asked Rxandy Capinpin to do the photography with stylist Ryuiji Shiomitsu and makeup artist Archie Tolentino of Maybeline New York.

Hatched since last year, the designers of OS has worked hard to produce hi-quality polyurethane materials casted from found bones.  To look natural each piece is then individually handcrafted and fused together with silver chains and hardware metals after.

OS will be officially launching at Coachella in Rockwell  Bazaar from April 8-10, 12pm-12am. I can't wait to for my own piece of OS jewelry!
