As promised, here are the photos from the collabo shoot I had with Anton. Anton currently dabbles in street photography, taking photos of friends and of random breathing souls. I'm not sure if this shoot was his first themed one, but I sure did enjoy doing it with him. It's nice to break away from "outfit" posts once in a while. It's also great to be in the company of people who share the same interests and vision as I do, moreso if they all reside in the same area as where I live (cheers to the South, baby!). When Anton and I were discussing the theme for this shoot, I knew in my head that I wanted to wear this Ornithopter dress from Paradigm Shift. It's such a simple piece but has a tough and sultry whimsy to it. It sure hell looks good with the Drei wedges from Gold Dot too. Now, if this look doesn't project a "Don't you dare mess with me!" 'tude, I don't know what else will.

An Inkling

About a week ago, I had the privilege of meeting Edric Chen - a young photographer who has been shooting beautiful and interesting portraits of various personalities (eminent or not) for quite some time now.  While Edric claims not to be a photographer, but simply an individual with a camera, I can't help but regard him as such. Yes, anyone with a camera can become photographer but only a few have the eye to see past the obvious, to go beyond the usual point-and-shoot and can make even the most mundane of things look alive or convey an emotion. Edric, in my opinion, is one of those few who can. Before meeting Edric, I had an image of him in my head as someone who's stern and who likes doing things point by point. But as I got to converse with him throughout our entire session, I was able to deduce that he is actually quite the opposite -- he's soft-spoken but witty and is not afraid to experiment and make little discoveries. I am usually apprehensive in meeting new people as I'm not much of a talker myself. I despise having 'small talks' and experiencing that awkward silence when you have nothing else sensible to say. With Edric, it was a different story. He's one of the few people I've met who made me feel as if we could go on a conversation together for hours and hours and it wouldn't feel such a drag doing so. I'm glad he feels the same way about me.

Preview Magazine Feature

Yours truly and three other local bloggers were featured in the March issue of Preview magazine, the highest circulating fashion magazine in the Philippines. :)

Each of us was assigned a theme/look. Mine was black and denim (worn together). We were also asked to bring our own clothes during the photoshoot. Daryl Chang, associate fashion editor of Preview, helped us out with the styling.

After the make-up. I looked like a Chinese girl with chinky eyes and rouge lips.

Last outfit. Sadly, this outfit was not included in the feature. It was my favorite one from the lot. Sigh. Oh well, I'm not going to complain...I'm happy and thankful enough that I got featured in a premiere fashion magazine!

Of course I had to take a photo of myself showing off my page. Haha!
