Not Your Average Joe

Sweater: Gold Dot / Jeans: Zara / Bag: Alexander Wang / Heels: Mango / Cap: Romwe / Earrings: F21

You've got to love this Joe sweater from Gold Dot. It's clean and simple but very interesting -- credit goes to its cut-out shoulder design. I initially pictured wearing this sweater with tall laced-up boots and a frayed, low-waist, white denim shorts...but I realized that I don't have the latter so I settled for a pair of boyfriends jeans instead. I'm pretty obsessed with boyfriend jeans right now. I've been searching for the perfect pair for months until I finally stumbled upon this worn-out looking pair from Zara (one of the items I purchased from the latest sale). They just look so damn ruggedly sexy when paired with high heeled sandals or pumps.

P.S. Say 'hello' to the new addition to my A. Wang bag family - the Iodine Rocco!

P.P.S. I now have an Instagram account! Woot! Follow me at http://instagram.com/kookiebuhain!

(Dress: H&M// Heels: Mango// Clutch: SM Accessories)

It was my first time attending a Preview Best Dressed Ball this year and I wonder why I haven't gone to previous ones before (*knocks myself on the head*). The event was so much fun and I had such a good time shaking my bonbons to nostalgic dance songs, together with my blogger friends (you know who you are!).

The theme for this year's Ball was athletic chic. Needless to say, I got really excited the first time I got wind of the theme because I adore sportswear...a lot! I originally wanted to have a pair of track shorts and jacket customized but due to time constraints, I had to settle with whatever I could find in my closet that could fit in with the theme. The first look that I had in mind was a combination of a floral bomber jacket + peplum top + hot shorts. However, the actual look didn't translate well to how I was envisioning it so I had to scrap the whole ensemble. I ended up turning to this neon dress which has been hanging inside my closet for months. It had this neoprene-like material which reminded me of a scuba-diving suit. The dress could very well pass off as a trendy tennis wear as well (although I highly doubt that a pro tennis player can move around a lot in it).

Congratulations to Preview and to all of the Best Dress honorees this year! Looking forward to next year's Best Dressed Ball!

P.S. Loads of thanks to Anton Aguila for these photos and to Camille Regala for my makeup!
P.P.S. Look how nasty my feet looks in the last photo. Hahaha!

Track Pants

(Pants: Romwe// Top: Topshop// Heels: Mango// Clutch: Made U Look// Earrings: Extremefinds// Eyewear: Karen Walker)

I'm still not over the sports luxe trend, as manifested in these tracks pants. These pants are not your ordinary pair of track pants. They've been updated with zippers and the fit is more tailored and streamlined vs. the ordinary slouchy track pants. I could've gone "sporty" all the way with a raglan tee and a baseball cap but I wanted to challenge myself to come up with a look that's more refined and feminine (feminine? is that even you, Kookie??? haha!). All I needed were a pair of heels and a dainty top and challenge accomplished. Now tell me, what's your favorite trend from the past season?

Perforated Leather

(Top: H&M// Trousers: Zara// Heels: Mango// Clutch: Made U Look// Eyewear: Karen Walker// Cuffs: The Ramp// Gold Hair Cuff: Gold Dot)

Wore this to the grand launch of Zalora PH last nite. The attire theme for the event was "Dress To Impress". It has been a looong time since I last attended a night-time event and I honestly had a hard time coming up with an appropriate look for the party. I tried on a lot of looks but I ended up with my favorite printed trousers, a perforated faux leather top (which showcases my super toned arms...I'm kidding of course) and my new Mango heels. Not sure if this look translated well as a dressed-to-impress look but I was quite oh-kay with it. You're never going to see me in a tight and mini body conscious dress to a party anyway (well, not any time soon). The Zalora event was held in Skye Lounge, a posh bar of sorts with an open-area. While the weather was very humid, I had a fun time chatting with fellow bloggers and a few gorgeous ladies from the Zalora team. It has been a long time since I last saw them.

Congratulations to the Zalora PH team for a wonderful event. Here's to revolutionizing the online shopping scene!

P.S. I obviously love my blue Carry All Bag from Made U Look that I had to use it again. :)
