Sunset Strip

(Pants: Romwe// Top & Earrings: F21// Shoes: Mango// Clutch: Made U Look// Eyewear: F&H)

As a beach-lover, I'm a sucker for prints that conjure up images of a laid back beach life. This covers visuals of palm trees, sunsets, waves, and surfer girls, amongst others. The print on this tank top is one of those definitive beach prints -- lined-up palm trees with a beautiful ombre sunset for a backdrop. I wanted to take a break from all the rocker-goth-punk-whateveryouwannacallit outfits and don a refreshing summery white ensemble with this printed tank, just to shake things up a bit. If you're having a deja vu with the white pants in this look, that's because they're the the fraternal twin of my Romwe black track pants HERE (which I've been constantly abusing offline). I love the fit of these pants so much that I decided to get all available colors. They're so easy to wear that you can just throw on a loose top or a jumper and a pair of heels and you're good to go.

I wish dressing up was as easy and effortless as this.

Surprise! Don't I look like a boy with my new hair? Haha! Don't get me wrong. I am loving the new 'do. It feels liberating to have a mane this short. I don't have to fiddle with my hair incessantly and I don't have to worry about strands of hair covering my face whenever the wind decides to blow my way. Friends have been constantly grilling me whether I felt guilty or sorry that I had a large chunk of my hair chopped off. My answer is: No, I didn't feel sad at all. I'm used to having short hair. In fact, I had short hair during my whole stay in college. So what does one wear to debut her new short hair? Floral prints of course! Okay, okay...it's not mandatory to wear floral prints when you've just gotten a pixie cut but for my sake, I chose feminine pieces as a contrast to my boyish 'do. I didn't want to be mistaken for a boy, you know...although I do get comments like "Uy, pogi!" (pogi refers to a good-looking boy) once in a while. Oh well.

Track Pants

I'm still not over the sports luxe trend, as manifested in these tracks pants. These pants are not your ordinary pair of track pants. They've been updated with zippers and the fit is more tailored and streamlined vs. the ordinary slouchy track pants. I could've gone "sporty" all the way with a raglan tee and a baseball cap but I wanted to challenge myself to come up with a look that's more refined and feminine (feminine? is that even you, Kookie??? haha!). All I needed were a pair of heels and a dainty top and challenge accomplished. Now tell me, what's your favorite trend from the past season?

Perforated Leather

Wore this to the grand launch of Zalora PH last nite. The attire theme for the event was "Dress To Impress". It has been a looong time since I last attended a night-time event and I honestly had a hard time coming up with an appropriate look for the party. I tried on a lot of looks but I ended up with my favorite printed trousers, a perforated faux leather top (which showcases my super toned arms...I'm kidding of course) and my new Mango heels. Not sure if this look translated well as a dressed-to-impress look but I was quite oh-kay with it. You're never going to see me in a tight and mini body conscious dress to a party anyway (well, not any time soon). The Zalora event was held in Skye Lounge, a posh bar of sorts with an open-area. While the weather was very humid, I had a fun time chatting with fellow bloggers and a few gorgeous ladies from the Zalora team. It has been a long time since I last saw them.

Congratulations to the Zalora PH team for a wonderful event. Here's to revolutionizing the online shopping scene!

P.S. I obviously love my blue Carry All Bag from Made U Look that I had to use it again. :)

Silver Sparklers

(Top: F21// Shorts: Copper// Shoes: Sam Edelman// Carry All Bag: Made U Look// Cuff: Ruckus// Eyewear: Karen Walker)

I haven't given up on yellow yet, that's pretty much obvious. So...I picked up my over-worn neon yellow sweater and paired it with this shimmery pair of silver sequined shorts from Copper. The hot shorts are so hot! Haha! I've always loved the combination of yellow and blue so I decided to throw in a blue clutch in the mix. The structure of the clutch is very simple but the lushness of the blue hue is so striking. It's definitely a great accessory to spice up a simple look. This clutch or "Carry All Bag" is also available in other delicious colors! Get one now from Made U Look in Robinsons Galleria 50th Avenue or via these online sites:
