Boots Made For Walkin'

Monday, October 15, 2012

Top: Sheinside / Skirt: Romwe / Boots: Zara / Cuff: Gold Couture / Bag:  SM Accessories / Collar Tips: PlusMinusTimesDivide

I can't remember the last time I got myself a pair of ankle boots.

If it were my last day on earth and I was forced by the gods to choose one pair of shoes to bring with me to the afterlife, I would definitely go with a pair of boots - they're comfortable, sturdy and can withstand the seasons. I got pretty excited when I found out that these Zara boots already made its way onto our shores (Thank you, Unica, for the hook up!). I had to scurry off to the nearest Zara store just so I can get my hands on this pair. I love how different they are compared to my other boots (which are of the laced-up platform style) -- they're pointed and they're just so...manly-looking. For this look, the boots serve as a tough counter point to my Sheinside floral polo but they complement the ruggedness of my Romwe multi-zippered skirt as well. Just a heads up (and a warning): you'll be seeing more of these boots in upcoming posts. I'm not kidding.:)

P.S. Get free passes to the upcoming Supersale Bazaar this October 19-21. Details can be found HERE.

(Top & Skirt: H&M// Shoes: Feet For A Queen// Clutch: Made U Look// Earrings: F21)

Surprise! Don't I look like a boy with my new hair? Haha! Don't get me wrong. I am loving the new 'do. It feels liberating to have a mane this short. I don't have to fiddle with my hair incessantly and I don't have to worry about strands of hair covering my face whenever the wind decides to blow my way. Friends have been constantly grilling me whether I felt guilty or sorry that I had a large chunk of my hair chopped off. My answer is: No, I didn't feel sad at all. I'm used to having short hair. In fact, I had short hair during my whole stay in college. So what does one wear to debut her new short hair? Floral prints of course! Okay, okay...it's not mandatory to wear floral prints when you've just gotten a pixie cut but for my sake, I chose feminine pieces as a contrast to my boyish 'do. I didn't want to be mistaken for a boy, you know...although I do get comments like "Uy, pogi!" (pogi refers to a good-looking boy) once in a while. Oh well.
