Boltin' Out

Saturday, October 6, 2012

Top: Binkydoodles / Jeans: Zara / Heels: Mango / Bag: Phillip Lim / Earrings & Cuff: SM Accessories

I'm going to keep this short and sweet as I need to bolt outta the door and enjoy my Saturday (Heyo, it's a weekend!). This is a pretty simple look - wore a pretty peplum top with simple jeans and heels (I got the blazer on stand by just in case it got chilly). Sometimes, this is just how I'd like to wear myself and my clothes -- no fuss, no complications.

Hope you guys have an awesome weekend ahead! Don't forget to follow me on Twitter (@kookiebuhain) for blog updates!

When The World Slips You A Jeffrey...

(Jacket: Twinky// Vest: F21// Top: Daley Tees// Jeans: Zara// Boots: Jeffrey Campbell)

...stroke the furry wall.

It rained on our third day in Seoul and the weather became extremely chilly (I was not prepared for it at all!). The accompanying wind was so strong that it broke my cute but frail umbrella. I was originally planning on wearing the faux fur vest with just a simple white shirt but the cold weather called for more layers. I didn't have enough warm jackets with me so I took my chances and paired the vest with a fuzzy jacket. In the end, I was satisfied with the overall look.

P.S. The title of this post is in reference to the song, "Furry Wall" from the movie, "Get Him To The Greek". :)

(Jacket: H&M// Shirt: SPAO// Jeans: Zara// Boots: Tophop// Cuffs: H&M// Rings: Gold Dot// Shopper Tote: Ombre, from Seoul)

Working with blue and green tones this time. I've had my eye on this H&M ombre jacket for quite a while and I wasn't expecting that I'd be able to get my hands on one since it's already sold out in most H&M stores. To my surprise (and delight), I saw a couple of pieces in one of the H&M stores in Seoul. I didn't even think twice. I instantly snapped one and paid for it immediately at the counter. One obsession pinned down, a lot more to go. Haha! I didn't plan on wearing the jacket right away but I figured that it would go well with the long sleeved mint shirt that I got from SPAO (a local Korean brand). I needed to cover myself up badly as I didn't expect the weather in Seoul to be that chilly (it was freezing cold at night!). While I did pack jackets for my trip, my inner tops weren't as thick or long as I had wished them to be. Wearing a long-sleeved shirt together with a jacket was a good decision as it kept me from shivering while exploring the cherry blossom-lined streets of Seoul.

I have a lot more photos of our stay in Seoul so stay tuned for those!
