The chilly weather we've been currently experiencing in this eternally summer-filled country of ours has been a delightful welcome change (save for bathing in freezing water in the early morning -- I hate it!). I've been immensely enjoying covering myself up in long knit jumpers and jeans just to ward off the cold draft. The last time I wore the taupe maxi dress in these photos was about 2 years ago (yikes! it was that long!) but this time, I was able to pair it with a leather jacket since the weather permitted it. To add some spunk on otherwise plain jane look, I piled on some cool arm swag and added an SM Accessories fringe bag and Moschino belt (which I posted in my Instagram a few weeks ago).

I hope the weather here stays sunny and chilly forever! Haha!

Goth Nomad Part Two

I completely forgot to post this set of photos from my Goth Nomad shoot with Anton 5 months ago (my hair was still long and basting in ombre dye). These are actually my favorites from the bunch. And this is how I would style the Paradigm Shift 'Ornithopter' dress to make it more wearable during the day -- I'll just slap on a mean leather jacket and wear a pair of moto boots. Damn. Looking at these photos makes me miss my all-black-ensemble days circa 2008-2009. I think it's time to bring back the edgy again.

Fete de la Musique

About a week ago, I attended Fete de la Musique, an annual music festival celebrated all around the world (and is currently participated by 32 countries). In the Philippines, Fete de la Musique is held in the streets and the public is able to access a variety of music genres for free. There is one station dedicated to a particular music genre and once gets a free reign to choose and celebrate the music that he fancies. For my first-ever Fete attendance, my friends and I chose to chill at the Electronica station held at Time bar. I knew that I would be dancing my feet away so I went with a very casual and comfortable look. The zebra-print dress I'm wearing here is actually a robe and I've already worn it in a variety of ways to different occasions (as seen here, here, here, here and here). This robe is definitely one hell of a good buy. I believe I've already milked it for all its worth and I'll still enjoy wearing it for as long as it continues to serve its purpose.

Wish we have more music festivals here in the Philippines. Life would be depressingly sad without block rockin' beats.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

I inadvertently overlooked this outfit photo set from the last day of our stay in Seoul. It was bitingly cold that day and I was slightly shivering when these photos were being snapped. What added to the cold was the drizzle, hence the umbrella. Rainy season is already starting to make its presence felt in the Philippines and I'm already dreading the periods of heavy downpour. I hate threading big puddles of water and getting my shoes, socks and feet wet! But to be fair to the rain, I love the cold draft that comes along with it. There's nothing better than staying in on a cold rainy day and snuggling with pillows and cuddly plush toys. Yes, this is one of the understated joys of life that I relish.

How's this for a flashy sequin extravaganza? Haha! I wore this ensemble to my friend's baby dedication about two weeks ago. I know, I know...sequins may seem like a wrong idea to wear to a dedication but I convinced myself that wearing sequins during the day is fine so long as I pair it with casual pieces such as a pair of corduroy jeans. I think students with fashion design degrees would agree with this pairing.

Tightened the whole week with gold accessories and a small textured clutch in a gorgeous teal color from Impulse Co.

Preppy

Miss Preppy goes to work. Yup, that's exactly how I felt when I was wearing this outfit. The pieces that you see here have already made an appearance in previous posts. One of my goals this year is to lessen the mindless spending and recycle and re-wear old pieces in my closet. Hope I could stick to this till the end of the year. :?
