Scene Stealers

Saturday, June 28, 2014

Was surprised to see my pale-ass self in the June 2014 issue of Preview magazine (in one of its "Scene" pages). These photos were snapped during the 7107 International Music Fest held last February (which I have yet to blog about) and I think I'm one of the very few female festival-goers who decided to ditch those short-shorts and braved the heat whilst wearing pants. Ha! Thank you to Preview for this unexpected feature!

Pink Floyd

Sunday, December 30, 2012

T-Shirt: Street Beat Boutique / Pants: Silence & Noise (Urban Outiftters) / Boots: Jeffrey Campbell / Bangles: Mauve / Necklace: FRKRS / Bag: Designerati

I've been on the hunt for a legit-looking worn-out band shirt for quite a long time now (most of the band shirts I see in stores or online are actually quite shitty) so when I saw this Pink Floyd shirt at the St. James Bazaar, my eyes lit up and I was smiling from ear to ear. Not only does this shirt have the worn-out feel I was looking for, it also features Pink Floyd! Pink Floyd is probably one of most iconic rock groups of our lifetime (go Google them up). I was feeling a bit hippie with this band shirt on so I decided to dial up the hippie look with a pair of full-on velvet bell bottoms (wore this to BU3). Threw in the trusty wide-brimmed fedora, some badass Mauve arm swag and I was ready, once again, for my music fest date.

In other news, the new year is fast approaching (one more day to go! woot!)! 2012 was a blast but I'm wishing 2013 will be a whole lot kick ass! Passing on this wish to you guys, too! Cheers!

Crushed Velvet

Pants: Silence & Noise (via Urban Outfitters) / Top: Daley Tee / Jacket: Zara / Boots: Jeffrey Campbell / Bag: via IT Designer Lab / Crystal Necklace: FRKRS / Bird Skull Necklace & Cube Ring: Gold Dot / Stone Ring: Love Diva

What I wore to the much-anticipated and highly successful Bloggers United Bazaar 3 last Saturday. This look was something I came up with at the last minute. I was quite dead tired from work the day before the bazaar and I woke up an hour late on the day of the event itself! I had to scramble to organize all of the items I was planning to sell and had no more time to choose and test an outfit on. Thank goodness this crushed velvet bell bottoms presented itself at a moment of need. I've had this pair of pants for quite a while now but I never got round to wearing it. I guess it was waiting for the right occasion to be worn...and the Bloggers United Bazaar was the perfect event to have its own "moment". For the most part of the bazaar, I was entertaining shoppers and guests sans the jacket (it was just too darn hot inside the venue because of the influx of people), so I apologize to all of those who saw my almost naked back. Haha! To all of the readers, shoppers and friends who dropped by our booth and gave their time to say their "hellos" and have their photos taken with me, THANK YOU! You lot are the greatest and you really made my day.

P.S. For those who took photos of and with me, I would love to post our pictures here! Do email them at deathbyplatforms01@gmail.com. :)
