Top: ATL Manila / Skirt: April 2nd / Heels: Zara / Clutch: SM Accessories / Earrings: The Jewelry Shop
Cropped tops are the perfect complementary pieces to show off a toned physique. The thing is, I don't have a toned torso and it would take 10,000 years for me to even develop one panel of toned abs (don't even ask me why!). But even the lack of a toned torso cannot prevent me from indulging myself in trying out restrictive pieces of clothing. My tip for working around those menacing love handles while donning a cropped top? Wear high waist bottoms - they're a godsend to (slightly) strategically cover those unwanted bulges. As seen in this ensemble, I paired a tailored cropped top from ATL Manila with a tribal-print high waist skirt. There's still a blob of jelly tummy peeking somewhere in this look, but at least 3/4 of the flesh monstrosity is concealed. Hahaha!
Foliage

Wore this gorgeous foliage-print dress to the red carpet premiere of "Must Be Love" -- a movie that is so dear to my heart. "Must Be Love", which is top-billed by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (my favorite teen on-screen "love team"), is a movie about love, relationships and transformations. While I'm not a fan of Pinoy movies, I can truly say that this movie is worth watching. The dialogues are witty and the story is something most of us, if not all, can relate to. If you want a light movie that will keep you amused and feeling "kinikilig" the whole time, I suggest you watch "Must Be Love". It's now airing in over 100 cinemas nationwide.

Jacket, Jeans, Shoes: Zara / Top: Daley Tee / Bag: F21 / Watch: Parfois / Earrings: Diva / Silver Cuff: Ruckus
This lovely tweed jacket was one of my great finds from the latest Zara end-of-season sale. There's something about the color and the print which is very reminiscent of Proenza Schouler's scuba suit-inspired SS '09 collection (I'm a sucker for green-blue-yellow color combos). The jacket has a simple leather detail beside the zipper which takes away the "granny factor" usually associated with tweed jackets. The pair of leopard-print sandals was also one of my Zara sale purchases (I went crazy during the sale, I'm telling you!). Even with the studded heels, the sandals look indubitably feminine so I had to offset it with masculine-looking jeans and a plain snapback.
Hope y'all having a great week so far! Can't wait for the weekend to arrive! I'm so ready for my well-deserved beach break! Woot!
