Oh, velvet. Why do you have to be so soft and plush? I can't help but caress you and hold you next to my cheeks. Okay, okay. Pardon me for this rubbish soliloquy, but I think velvet (and sequins) will be a big part of my life this 2012. Just about 2 months ago, I got myself a pair of crushed velvet bell bottoms (just waiting for the parcel to arrive) and now, I have this gorgeous pair of black velvet shorts (and in blue too! ack!). When I saw these shorts online, I knew right away in my head that it will go so well with a cape top and a pair of snakeskin & suede heels that I recently got from the Zara sale. For this look, I played with white, red and black hues and threw in metallic colors as an accent. These shorts are already sold out in Pinkaholic Fashion Shoppe but can you still get your hands on a similar pair from Topshop...but for double the price. :?
I just loooove all your accessories! xx

@ Mie: The shoes are part of last season's collection.
ReplyDeleteomg, the sequin headband is just too chic! love this outfit from head to toe :)
ReplyDeleteI love the mixture of textures in your outfit! The crushed velvet really stands out and I like how you paired it with a top in a much lighter fabric (the cape top photographed really beautifully.) The other textures are more subtle and in smaller quantities, but it still mixes quite well. I rather look forward to seeing more crushed velvet in your outfits this year xx
ReplyDeletehi love your style. Where did you get your top is that an online purchase? pls. share the website if it is. Thanks
ReplyDelete@ Cherie: Awww, thanks dear!
ReplyDelete@ Eggtarbox: I'm so excited to wear more velvet too! :)
@ Anon: I got the top from a bazaar. I'm not sure if they have a website though.
