Grocery Shopping

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

On top of retail shopping, I enjoy grocery shopping immensely. I allow myself to get lost in aisles and aisles of food items and I usually end up buying things which are not part of my grocery list. Haha. Has this ever happened to you? Where do you like to do your grocery shopping?

P.S. These "Lloyda" mary jane platforms from Gold Dot are just the cutest pair of wedges! The wooden heel is definitely something else.

P.P.S. Every time you see me wear my beanie, it only means that I'm too lazy to style my hair (which is almost every day). Haha! Hope you guys enjoyed the long weekend!

Leather-Like

(Jacket: Coexist // Dress: Funky Plum Vintage // Boots: Five by Five)

Remember my post HERE on Funky Plum Vintage? Well, the dress you see in this post is one of the items I went home with from the store. Its structure is very simple but I think the combination of the leather-like material on the front and jersey on the back adds a bit of character to the dress. I also think this dress is perfect for those days when you're too tired to whip out an outfit and be all cerebral about it.

Thank God For Online Shopping! For someone like me who's perpetually busy, online shopping is such a convenient method to shop without having to brave the mall traffic or travel all the way to the other side of globe just to satiate one's retail appetite. Believe it or not, I purchase most of my clothes and shoes online. The only time I get to force myself to go to physical fashion stores is when there is a sale. Haha. For local buys, MULTIPLY is one of my go-to online places. There are a lot of online shops within the Multiply community that offer of-the-moment clothes, accessories and shoes. Recently, I found out about the MARKETPLACE which makes online shopping in Multiply so much easier and hassle-free.

Just click on the Marketplace tab in Multiply. Items are already categorized for easy browsing.

With the Marketplace, you can purchase items from different shops in one go without the need for separate transactions. Just click on the "Buy Now" icon and everything goes in your Shopping Cart!

Shopping via the Marketplace is so much safer as well because final payment is coursed through Multiply.com's various payment accounts (i.e. BDO, BPI, G-Cash & Paypal). You need not worry as well about scammers running away with your hard earned cashed because most Online Sellers under the Marketplace are covered by the Buyer's Protection program (read more about this HERE).

Let me share with you some of my recent purchases via the Marketplace:

I got these from The Posh Wardrobe. I love the midi length of the suedette skirt and the geometric pattern in the bodycon skirt.

Most of you are already aware of my affinity towards nail polishes (I get my nail color changed almost every week!). I usually get my polish stash from Digital Traincase. When I saw their NYX Girls collection, I went crazy over the yummy colors! "Bubblegum" (pictured above) is just the perfect funky neon yellow-green color I've been looking for! I also purchased polish in pastel colors such as: Pistachio, Mermaid Green and Mute Lavander. I'm so excited to wear these colors!

If you guys haven't tried out buying via the Marketplace, well then...you definitely should! It's a more fun shopping experience, I tell you.

P.S. I'll be sharing with you guys some more of my Multiply buys so stay tuned for that. :)

SM Southmall Levels Up!

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

I’m one of the few fashion bloggers who live in the South – in Las Pinas to be specific - and while we don’t have the huge superstores (such as SM Megamall, SM MOA, SM Makati and SM North Edsa) around here, we do have SM Southmall which houses all of the essentials and more. It is to be acknowledged though that the fashion store options in SM Southmall is not as elaborate as that of its sister malls in Ortigas or Makati.

Or so I thought it was.

About a month ago, I decided to pop into SM Southmall for a quick bite and to shop for some toiletries in the department store. It has been a very, very, very long time since I’ve last visited our humble mall in the South…and to my surprise, when I entered the mall, I was greeted by a seemingly larger space, brighter white lights and an array of new stores in one of the wings. Yes, SM Southmall has just gone through a renovation and I wasn’t even aware of it!

Goodness.

The Southmall department store, which used to be in the middle of everything else, has been refreshed and re-located to the side to accommodate more shops for us, fashion-hungry Southern mavens.

SM Southmall now has Promod, Accessorize, All Flip Flops, Nine West, Cache-Cache, Charles and KeithLa Senza, Terranova, Parfois and G By Guess.  And just recently, a fashion show was held to showcase the latest pieces from some of these stores.

SM Southmall is definitely keeping up to the fashion times and I’m thankful that it has recognized the clamor of the Southern folks for more fashion options by bringing in a fresher set of stylish brands. Now, there is more reason to stay and chill in the South and shop to your heart’s content with the improved SM Southmall!

Watch out for SM Southmall’s grand re-launch in December! More shops will be added such as...

Aldo. Woot! Finally!!!

...and this!

I wonder what shop this is? Can you make a guess?

I'm so excited for these developments! I hope my fellow bloggers from the South are too!

P.S. I’ll be sharing with you some of my amazing finds in the new stores I mentioned above so do watch out for that!

El Ombre

Monday, August 22, 2011

(Top: courtesy of Style District // Shorts: Bim Bim Haus // Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell // Eyewear: Zoo // Leg Chain: courtesy of Saint Rebel Street Boutique // Rings: Gold Dot & Unisex by JP Singson // Spike Earring: ASOS)

Finally got to wear the ombre shorts I posted HERE. This pair of shorts is wicked sick. It's almost perfect and I currently have a love affair with it. I think it goes pretty well with the badass leg chain too. My only beef with it is that it's a tad short on me (Read: mooning others over is inevitable). But hell, I'll take the risk!

Casual Workwear

(Top: Q Vintage // Jeans: The Landmark // Heels: Jessica Simpson // Eyewear: Mango)

Just a simple and casual look for work. You may have noticed the recurring sporadic posts. I couldn't stress any further how perpetually busy I am with work so my apologies in advance if I won't be able to post regularly. I'll try my best though. In other news, a lot of blogging projects have been pouring in and I couldn't be more excited. Thank you to all of you, my dear readers, for the continued support! I hope you wouldn't tire of reading my (sometimes) mundane posts.

Ombre Shorts & Acid Washed Jacket from Bim Bim Haus

Currently obsessed with ombre/dip dyed denim cut offs. The addition of an acid-washed jacket doesn't hurt either. Expect an early appearance from these pieces in upcoming outfits.

The Sexy White Shirt

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

(Cropped Jacket & Shorts: Topshop // Clutch: Dorothy Perkins // Shoes: Five by Five // Top: Sexy White Shirt // Snake Ring: Bring by Bin Ubaldo // Turban: Flatterbuy)

One of the staple pieces in my closet is a basic white top. I've already inadvertently amassed about 20 pieces of white basics, from tank tops to scoop necks to V-neck shirts. You can never go wrong with a white top. You can wear it as an undershirt together with pants, shorts and blazers. Or you can wear it on its own with a well-fitting pair of skinny jeans and sexy heels (and this look, my friends, is one that men find really irresistible and sexy). I'm so thankful the ladies from Sexy White Shirt gave me this white V-neck pocket tee since my ratty white shirts at home are in dire need of a replacement. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of this shirt (and its black counterpart) in upcoming posts.

P.S. Thank you to Five by Five as well for my Ash-inspired buckled wedges. You may order other phenomenal pairs HERE.
