Top & Pants: Sheinside / Shoes: Alexander Wang / Clutch: SM Accessories / Earrings: Jewelry Shop / Eyewear: Karen Walker

Felt all sorts of giddy when I stumbled upon these perfect tapered scarf-print trousers and vegan leather bralette Zara dupes from Sheinside. Pretty proud of myself for not hitting the purchase button the moment I saw these pieces at the first release of the Zara Spring/Summer '13 collection because these Sheinside pants and top are way cheaper vs. Zara's, even at an on-sale price. In terms of footwear choice, I was contemplating on whether to match this ensemble with a basic pair of black sandals or the Alexander Wang Aline (white version on sale HERE!) but the latter seemed to be the perfect choice. A series of other ensembles featuring this top and trousers are already in the works so expect to see these pieces on the blog again soon.

Ain't Laurent Without Yves

Skirt: Chicnova / Top: Medley Manila / Bag & Heels: Alexander Wang / Rings & Earrings: F21 / Bracelet: Accessorize / Eyewear: Cotton On

So here we are again with another wraparound situation. But instead of the usual plaid shirt and skirt combo, what we have here is a solo ingenious skirt with built-in arms, meant to be tied on the front (ala Phillip Lim). It's sports chic fashion and pragmatism all rolled into one. And the shirt? "Ain't Laurent without Yves"? Word.

Now I leave you guys with this, to perk your week up!

"Heeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyy, guuuuuurl..."

 Have a great week, y'all!

Up All Night To Get Lucky

Dress: Zara / Shoes: Alexander Wang / Clutch: Made U Look / Earrings: The Jewelry Shop

What I wore to the Preview Best Dressed Ball 2013.

I was a total mess days before the party, racking my brains and maniacally scouring nearby RTW shops for something decent to wear. I had the "dancing shoes" (a pair of Alexander Wang Aline heels -- on sale HERE at 40% off, I may add) to go with this year's theme but didn't have the dress (or separates) to pair it with. I envisioned myself wearing a leather bralette and a mean midi pencil skirt combo to the party. Unfortunately, the pencil skirt was playing hard-to-get. As a last resort, I drove my ass to one of the most reliable Zara branches in the metro and crossed my fingers, hoping to find a sexy dress amidst racks and racks of random items, all of which were on sale (yes ladies, the Zara end-of-season sale is on!). But I guess luck was on my side because in the corner of the sale-infested Zara store was a gleaming section of new arrivals where this simple but gorgeous black sheath of a dress (with a sexy back) was happily dancing. With twinkling eyes, I immediately snatched it off the rack and rushed to the cashier counter. This Zara dress and my Aline heels, they're perfect for each other.

Credits: I would like to thank my MUA officemate, Leah Carballo, for my awesome makeup and Anton, for these unbelievably crisp photos taken under nasty low light. Thanks mucho, guys!
