Top: Romwe / Pants & Heels: Zara / Bag: Balenciaga (buy HERE) / Earrings: The Jewelry Shop / Eyewear: Cotton On
Last week, Manila chanced upon two good days of sunny weather (albeit transient) which gave me an opportunity to concoct an equally sunshine-inspired ensemble. This loose peplum number (which looks more neon lime in person) paired with comfortable wide leg pants (a steal from the Zara sale!) seemed to go well together and made for a perfect happy mood-inducing weapon.
This week has been challenging, what with a dreadful weather forecast of heavy rains, coupled with severe inundation in various parts of the country. My heart goes out to everyone who had to suffer from the aftermath of the heavy typhoon, Maring. If only the taxpayers' money are and were put to good use (for proper drainage and sewage systems, etc.), we wouldn't be experiencing these recurring problems caused by heavy rainfall/monsoon/typhoons (or at least, the aftermath wouldn't be as grave). Is it useless to hope for a better future for the Philippines?
I hope not.

I agree. If they would've have been more responsible citizen of the country, argh. I hate those people who are taking other people for granted -_- and I believe that there'd be a better future for the Philippines, if by any chance, all people will give each other a hand :)
ReplyDeleteTHE GIRL BEHIND THE PEN
Thanks, Cielo! That's the spirit! Kainis lang talaga ang mga buwaya at magnanakaw!!! Sana lamunin sila ng lupa! Hahaha!
DeleteIndeed, a happy pill, Kookie. Beautiful look! And oh, I have always been loving the "feel" of your photographs. <3
ReplyDeleteSending prayers to those who were greatly affected by Maring. I am still hoping for a better Philippines. :(

What's the "feel" that you're feeling? LOL! Joke lang! Thanks, Gem!
Deletei agree with you. Perfect outfit pretty, one more fan ;)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Flow! And thanks for dropping by! :)
DeleteThe typhoon sounds so scary! You know, I wasn't a huge fan of living in CA, but I have to say that they at least took earthquakes seriously and mandated building codes to include safety precautions for earthquakes. I think living in an area that is in the pathway of natural disasters needs to have those laws to keep people safe. I hope that happens in your country!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this look! So easy and carefree, but yet still so stylish and chic. I love that peplum! <3
toni
Hey, Toni! There are so many reasons as to why we experience continuous flooding here in the Philippines. There's garbage everywhere which clogs the sewage/drainage systems, there's the unresolved issue on deforestation and so on and so forth. Both the Filipino populace and the government should do their job to ensure disaster preparedness during times of calamities. But it just sucks to know how the money we've earned so hard gets "spent" by the government.
Deletewow!! such a very chic ensemble Ms.Kookie! and again,, i really LOVE this! this outfit is such a bright and fun break from the gloomy weather we are currently having. also, a "designer-break" (if there's such a term!)from your awesome Wangs! i really like the Zara pants! they have so many good items on sale! A DASH OF FASH
Thanks, Iris! After the peplum trend exploded, I swore never to wear a peplum top again. But the color on this Romwe top is just too pretty that it will be a sin to pass up on the piece.
DeleteSo so love this outfit. The color, the print and fabric, shape and everything is boom! :) I would definitely wear this too and wish I have smaller thinner bones. <3
