Basic Black Shirt & Knotted Skirt

A versatile piece, such as a basic black shirt, can be dressed up in so many ways. Here, I paired the shirt with a maxi skirt that I got on sale from F21. The skirt was a bit too big on me...which was just the way I liked it. I cinched it at the waist for a paper-bag-waist look and I also knotted the hem on one side to create structure on an otherwise straight-cut maxi skirt. It's definitely fun toying around with clothes and exploring different possibilities on how to wear them.

One of the staple pieces in my closet is a basic white top. I've already inadvertently amassed about 20 pieces of white basics, from tank tops to scoop necks to V-neck shirts. You can never go wrong with a white top. You can wear it as an undershirt together with pants, shorts and blazers. Or you can wear it on its own with a well-fitting pair of skinny jeans and sexy heels (and this look, my friends, is one that men find really irresistible and sexy). I'm so thankful the ladies from Sexy White Shirt gave me this white V-neck pocket tee since my ratty white shirts at home are in dire need of a replacement. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of this shirt (and its black counterpart) in upcoming posts.
