Bershka Manila Grand Opening Party

Saturday, April 6, 2013

Here are some of the photos I managed to snap with my iPhone (forgot to bring my DSLR) during the grand opening party of Bershka Manila. The brand team especially flew in DJs Eve Speciall and Pelayo Diaz for that night to entertain the guests with their sick beats. This party was definitely one of the best events I've ever been to. You can't go wrong with good music, dancing and a couple of good friends. I got to hang out with my buddies (Paul, Karl, JP and others) and I met a couple of cool kids too. I wasn't able to take photos of Bershka's current collection (as I was too busy reveling in the happy music provided by Eve and Pelayo) but I was able to spot a lot of great pieces (including Eve's coooool leather jacket!) which I plan to waste my money on soon. Haha! I'm soooooo thrilled that Bershka has finally hit our shores. I'm definitely heading back there to shop!

(Vest: Paradigm Shift// Trousers: Sabrina// Heels: Mango// Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim// Earrings: F21// Gold Hair Cuff: Gold Dot)

A masculine and feminine look mash up.

I'm swooning over this faux leather vest from Paradigm Shift's latest collection. It seriously fulfills my long vest requirements. I don't mind getting it in navy blue as well. And obviously, the feminine piece here is the pair of floral trousers. Such gorgeous mix of cool color tones, don't you think? This print also exists in the form of a blazer, just in case you want to go project a floral power suit look.

P.S. To everyone attending (and shopping at) BU3 tomorrow, we would like to request that you bring small change and your own eco bags. To the winners of the free passes, I sent you guys an email. :)

Karl Leuterio and Mike Magallanes, the fashion duo behind Paradigm Shift, comes out with a new collection that challenges the norm yet again.

Presenting SHINY, a collection which cleverly meshes drapey garments with bold silver metallics, forming new, wearable silhouettes. See more of the collection HERE.

Gold Dot entices us with yet another showstopper of a collection. Feast thy eyes on Automaton, a futuristic collection inspired by Tranformers and everything of the machinery sort. And to say that the editorial is amazing is an understatement. Kudos to the creative team (comprised of FFT friends, Edrick/Mike/Karl/Thysz) and Ally Duazo for this panty-peeing visual.

Behemoth Boots

Cerebrus Boots

Hydra Boots

Leviathan Wedges

Gold Dot's latest collection, in collaboration with designer Don Protasio and androgynous fashion blogger Karl Leuterio, is all about making a big impact with its edgy mammoth designs. These shoes are not for the faint at heart. You need to team these up with lots of attitude and spunk. As for me, I will be patiently waiting for my Leviathan Wedges. Oh come to momma!

Kami Booties (also available in Taupe)

Daryl Boots (also available in Eggplant & Brown)

On top of the Don Protasio x Karl Leuterio collection, Gold Dot also came up with two architectonic designs, employing wood structures for the soles. If you think the Kami Booties look a bit familiar, well, they're the heel-less upgrade of the highly coveted Kookie Booties! Now there are more GD footwear options to choose from. Gold Dot Photo Shoot: Behind The Scenes

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Last July 2 (a day after my birthday), I had the pleasure of joining fellow bloggers (Karl Leuterio, Lloyda Lim-Tan & Mike Magallanes) in a very special photo shoot for Gold Dot's 1st Anniversary Collection. The theme of the shoot and the anniversary collection was "JAPAN" and Ally Duazo, the owner of Gold Dot, even had kimonos and Japan flag shirts customized especially for us. Sweet!

Here's a sneak peak on what transpired during the shoot and a little peep at some of the shoes which will be part of the special anniversary collection.

Lloyda getting "japanized" by young make up artist, Avi Castano
I am a modern Japanese warrior and I'ma whip you with my hair!
I hate using the ANTM's term, "fierce"...but damn! Mike's pose here is just FIEEEEERCE!
Ally Duazo, the woman behind Gold Dot, with her sister, Averyl.
Ally's JC "Security" boots. These shoes can definitely kill.
Stylist extraordinaire, Gelo Arucan
The "Kookie" booties. These will also be available in Taupe.
"Mike" wedges
"Lloyda" mary jane platforms. These are so cute!
Isn't she super cute as well? J-Pop!
The photographer, Bjorn Bedayo. The make up artist, Avi Castano.
Hehehe.

We all had a blast (a blast, I say!) during the photo shoot! There were a lot of funny scenes here and there and everyone was so comfortable around each other. Thank you to Gold Dot for giving us this opportunity to be "fierce" models for a day. Haha. And how cool is that the shoes from the anniversary collection will be named after us??? (Can I get a "Hellz yeah!"? Haha!) Seriously though, I couldn't thank Gold Dot enough for always supporting my blog and sending amazing shoes my way. Thank you, thank you!

I can't wait for the release of the lookbook and the new collection! You guys should definitely watch out for it. It's coming out really, really soon. :)
