Lately, I've been gravitating more towards local brands over fast fashion -- I guess it's the appeal of exclusivity, of owning something a few (will) only have. One such brand and a new discovery of mine is Herman & Co., a clothing line which makes use of gorgeous, indigenous fabrics such as Yakan and Batik from Mindanao. The top I'm wearing in this photo set has a playful combination of both said fabrics and I just really adore the print and the colors. It might 'sound' cheesy but wearing locally-made pieces like this make me feel truly "Filipino" somehow.
Cheers to brands and consumers celebrating and acknowledging Filipino craftsmanship. Here's to supporting local!
Ang ganda naman po, Ms. Kookie :) Love this peg and that you maintained your short hair. Super cool and chic!
