A quick weekend escape to Tali Beach in Batangas was how I and couple of friends (some of whom were 'balikbayans') ended the month of February and I must say, it was a great and refreshing experience. We stayed overnight in a pink mansion and spent most of our time lounging by the pool and exploring Tali's small pockets of beautiful beaches. Not to be missed is a visit to the famous jump site, with big rock formations overlooking clear blue green waters. Ever the scaredy-cat (with a great fear of heights), I never did try jumping off into the water, even from the lowest jump off point. However, I did manage to slide off from one of the lowest rock platforms for a quick dip, albeit with great effort while exercising extreme caution. One of the highlights of our trip was watching the sun set and staring at the children's moon by the dock as we enjoyed the cool February breeze. 

 Tali Beach definitely left a great first impression on me and I can't wait to go back.
