Tito Chef

One of the great things about living in the South is the abundance of a variety of hole-in-the-walls and some gourmet eats. My latest foodie discovery is Tito Chef, a fairly new restaurant situated along President's Avenue in BF Homes, Paranaque. I would always see Tito Chef whenever I would go in and out of BF Homes and finally, after months of being a curious cat, my boyfriend and I decided to pay the restaurant a visit. The ambience inside is quite homey -- I love the clean, well-lit interiors and the modern furnishings. Tito Chef also has quite an extensive menu for a relatively small restaurant. I'm a sucker for steaks and salads with creamy dressing so obviously, I had to try the Crispy Pork Belly Salad (with garlic anchovy dressing) and The 300 steak. The boy, on the other hand, got the Barbecued Pork Spareribs. I always like my steak done medium well so that it's well-cooked but is still juicy and The 300 did not disappoint. It was very tender and the Au Poivre sauce ("gravy") that went with it was great! The pork spareribs was a fantastic meal too. The meat was really soft and very tasty. As for the salad, the strong anchovy taste of the dressing threw me off a bit (I had to pinch my nose just so I could enjoy the taste). I'm not saying that the dressing was that bad...I'm just not used to the taste of anchovies. I wish the crispy pork belly was, well, crispier too -- it would have made a whole lot of difference in terms of texture, in my opinion. The pricing in Tito Chef is quite on the high side (think Duo or Chelsea) so if you're the budget-conscious type, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Overall though, I really enjoyed our dining experience in Tito Chef. I would definitely go back to sample the other dishes in their menu.

  1. Hi Ms. Kookie! I'm a southern girl! I'm glad you were able to visit Tito Chef. There are so many foodstops in BF that are really good, (from easy on the budget - to splurge-worthy restos)! ;) and, am so glad to see you doing some resto reviews as well. By the way, pertaining to your outfit posts, just curious how you locate outfits shot spots, since i noticed that the places you choose are secluded. Your photos are really great!

    1. Yay for South Bloggers!

There are a lot of good spots in the South that are secluded (i.e. Alabang, BF Homes). You just have to keep your eyes open. :)
