Metallic

I and a few other local fashion bloggers were tapped by Stylebible for a special Blogger Challenge featuring MANGO. The theme for the first challenge is Metallic. For my core metallic piece, I chose this pair of hot metallic pants in a gold snakeskin print. I paired it with a simple cream loose tank as a counterpoint to the flashy jeans. At first, I was hesitant on wearing the metallic pants because it's a style that I'm not used to putting on...but I've grown a fondness for it and I would definitely love to wear it on a night out.

P.S. My body finally succumbed to the flu after pouring in hours and hours of work on a recently concluded TV shoot. Hope everyone doesn't suffer the same fate as I did. Take care, lovelies!

New Ear Artillery

all from Style Prodigy

Finally, some ear cuffs. These would go so well with my urban + grunge style. I already have an outfit in mind for the multi-cross ear cuff. It's going to be sweet.

Meet my "happy" dress. Its gorgeous saffron color just makes me smile. Paired with my Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony inspired platforms, I'm ready to go retro dancing and time travel to the 70's.

P.S. Thank you so much for leavin' some love on my shoe post HERE. I'm glad you appreciate the make-shift "shoe closet". :)

Rows Of Shoes

Monday, September 12, 2011

I've gotten quite a few requests from readers to do a shoe closet post. Finally...here it is! While most shoe magpies dream of glistening white shoe racks adorning their walls, I'm pretty content with my current "shoe closet". This "shoe closet" of mine was actually an old book shelf stand that my ever-resourceful mom transformed into a shoe storage space.

As you can see, my shoe closet is quite small so I just keep my favorites here. All of the other shoes are neatly tucked in their shoe boxes and hidden in a separate compartment. Here are the shoes in detail:

(Top Row, from l-r): Gold Dot boots; Asian Vogue wedges; DAS wedges; Aldo wedges
(Bottom Row, from l-r): Folded & Hung clogs; Jessica Simpson platforms; Gold Dot platforms; Asian Vogue wedges

(Top Row, from l-r): Jeffrey Campbell Black/Taupe Lita and Leopard Lana; Folded & Hung canvass platforms
(Bottom Row, from l-r): Soule Phenomenon Mary Jane platforms; Five by Five wedges, Soule Phenomenon lace up boots and wedge boots

(Top Row, from l-r): Gold Dot wedges; Five by Five wedges; Soule Phenomenon wedges; Gold Dot wedges
& winged flatforms from Hong Kong

Bleached & A Little Bit Sheer

Sunday, September 11, 2011

(Denim Jacket: Bim Bim Haus // Skirt: Thrifted // Top: Topshop // Watch & Bracelets: Parfois // Spike Ring: c/o PlusMinusTimesDivide // Armor Ring: ASOS // Eyewear: Mango)

Channeling a bit of 50's grunge with a billowy skirt (check out the sheer layer) and bleached denim jacket. I could've gone all vintage and sweet with the pretty skirt but looking all damn girly is just not me.

How's your weekend so far? Hope ya'll are doing fantastic!

Crazy Over Parfois

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

As mentioned in my previous post, I went on an accessories-shopping trip over at Parfois and Promod in SM Southmall last Saturday. It was a good thing that I dropped by during the weekend sale. I was able to get a load of pretty nifty items at a discount. Thank goodness for SM sales!

For those who haven’t been to Parfois in SM Southmall, here’s a glimpse of what this amazing accessories store has to offer:

Shopping For Accessories

Sunday, September 4, 2011

(Cover Up: Vanilla Label // Shorts: Topshop // Top: Zara // Wedges: F21 // Bird Skull Necklace: Gold Dot)

An easy and casual look for some accessories-shopping over at Parfois and Promod. I've worn all of the pieces in this outfit more than once. The leather shorts are obviously a favorite piece. And yes, the beanie makes another appearance. It's just so damn easy to throw a beanie on when I'm too lazy to style my hair. Seriously, I don't know what to do with my hair anymore. Hargh.

Will share with you more of my Parfois and Promod finds in the coming posts.

Enjoy the weekend, lovelies!

Basic Black Shirt & Knotted Skirt

Thursday, September 1, 2011

(Shirt: courtesy of Sexy White Shirt // Skirt: F21 // Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell // Cuff: ASOS)

A versatile piece, such as a basic black shirt, can be dressed up in so many ways. Here, I paired the shirt with a maxi skirt that I got on sale from F21. The skirt was a bit too big on me...which was just the way I liked it. I cinched it at the waist for a paper-bag-waist look and I also knotted the hem on one side to create structure on an otherwise straight-cut maxi skirt. It's definitely fun toying around with clothes and exploring different possibilities on how to wear them.

Favorite Time Of The Year

SM Southmall is having another 3-day sale this coming Friday until Sunday! Enjoy up to 70% off on items from your favorite stores. I'll definitely drop by over the weekend. The items I'm eyeing might just be on sale! *crosses fingers*

See you at SM Southmall!
