Wings & Swallows

(Lace Top: bazaar find // Harems: Dark White // Shoes: Aldo // Cascading Cross Earrings: Staal)

The various bazaars sprouting everywhere are a clear sign that Christmas is indeed near. Just last Sunday, I dropped by the St. James Bazaar and left with a lot of amazing items in tow, one of them is this pair of cascading cross earrings from Staal.

I’m also obsessed with so many things right now: animal prints, cover ups, sheer, knits, cross and skulls. I also fancy feathers and birds as manifested in my two new tattoos. I had my old and fugly star covered up with the swallow bird. Props to my artist for doing a great job in putting great details on such a small tat.

I wish everyone is doing well! Thank you for all the wonderful comments. I may not reply to all of your posts but I do read them with much delight. :)

(Vest - Forever 21 / Jogging Pants - Topshop / Platforms - Jessica Simpson "Dany" / Necklace - Anagon Collection

I had a photo shoot two weeks ago for the 2nd collection of Mash Up. I decided to copy my model's wing-eye look but I think it was a big fail. I ended up looking like a gothic Asian girl. Haha! The fact that I had my hair up in a ponytail didn't help either. Now I know that a big forehead + thin eyebrows + wing eye won't work on me.

Since I mentioned thin eyebrows, I just want to inform everyone that I naturally have REALLY THIN eyebrows. I don't want people thinking that I've overplucked them (or that I'm addicted to plucking). God knows how much I want to have thicker eyebrows. I'd rather have bushy eyebrows than an almost Woopie Goldberg kind of brow (Note: non-existent eyebrows!).

For the shoot, I decided to wear comfy pieces that would allow me to run around inside the studio like crazy...hence the joggings pants (which I got on sale by the way). While others prefer their sweatpants to be tight on the legs, I prefer mine to be really loose so that I can wear them low-waist style. I only wore the crazy platforms after the shoot. I would definitely tumble down if I wore them while styling.

So here's a little sneak peak of the pieces from the 2nd Collection:

Expect blazers, dresses, high-waist trousers and bottoms!

Will announce the release date of the 2nd Collection soon!

P.S. I would like to Ava of Arsty Fartsy Ava for getting me the peach vest during the F21 Sale!

Philippine Star YStyle Feature

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Finally, here's a post on the Philippine Star YStyle bloggers feature that we shot last week. The feature was for Halloween and we were asked to dress up as our favorite style icon. I really don't have any style icon whom I regularly follow but there are a lot of stylish celebrities whom I do of them is Mary Kate Olsen. I can relate to MK's  style so I chose to dress up as her.

Here is my MK Olsen look peg:

The make-up artist and hairstylist did a fantastic job in transforming me to MK Olsen. It's all about the smokey, wide eyes and the wavy, undone hair with a middle part.
