Giordano Fashion Showdown: Look 1

About a month ago, I and three other bloggers were invited by Giordano Philippines to take part in the Giordano Fashion Showdown contest. We were challenged to style a Giordano Ball Tee of our choice and to come up with two looks incorporating the Ball Tee. The outfit above is one of the two looks I came up with. I chose a Ball Tee that had some pop of color to it and paired it with tough leather pieces for a rebel, "off-to-Coachella" look.

Brown Pleats

A cheerleader pleated skirt...something some of you probably won't or didn't even expect me to wear. I must admit, it is a bit darn 'girly' for my taste but I'm having tons of fun wearing it (so much so that you'll see it again in an upcoming post very soon). I just need to pair it with a knit jumper and I'll be safe.

I admit that this look is a bit too saccharine for my taste but I could not contest the girlish magic of that cheerleader skirt in the most gorgeous salmon color. Besides, I only got the skirt for Php200 (well, I only paid P200 because I had a P1,000 gift certificate) so I don't think I even have the right to complain. And I think the ribcage necklace did a sweet job offsetting this too-sweet-for-candy look a bit. Oh, one thing I really enjoy about summer is that I can wear blindingly bright nail polish hues without compunction. Just look at ze neon green nails I'm sporting here...can you say, "Woah!"?
